My
Cancer Trek
aka
The Tokyo Roast

On 11/10/06, at age 59,  I found that I had       prostate cancer.
As the most common cancer in men, it kills 15% of those who get it.
My case, a most uncommon one, led me to Tokyo.
I hope my story can help others.

you look like you're sitting up nice and straight and painfree....I couldn't be happier. As far as the armpit thermometer scene--it could have been worse. Keep on smiling. P.S. I handled your votes in the municipal election. Pam won anyway with 80% plus

I tried to lose a little blood so you would have an excuse to get away but no such luck.

It scares me that you might handle the votes in any election!

        See you Tuesday morning.

you look tired and not es healthier as you were last year in france but after what you 've been through, you look great. No one look fine when in hospital bed, even brad Pitt wouldn't look ok. See, i am comparing you to Brad Pitt, you are right, life is good

We are looking forward to seeing your brother at our house when we return.

I hope I can live up to the Brad Pitt comparison but I may need a little more recovery time.

Doctor said no alcohol, horseback riding, bicycling, or motorcycling for 3 months. I avoided asking about kayaking so he couldn't say no.

So get them ready and I'll see you soon.

It's good to see you looking so well after such an ordeal. I admire your strength and incredible courage. I look forward to seeing you back home very soon. The Republicans are running wild without you here in the US to help keep things in check. Just kidding. Anyway, while you've been away, I went to see Harry Connick Jr in concert at the Township. I love going to shows at that place, it was great. Mom and Dad would have loved it since a lot of what he does is the old big band and standards just with a little New Orleans cajun twist to it. I wish I would have thought to get them tickets but I didn't realize it would be right up their alley until it was too late. Oh, by the way, I got to meet the man himself after the show out by his bus in the back lot (No, nothing happened and I wasn't stalking him). I got him to autograph the "My New Orleans Tour" shirt I had bought just before the show started. I know this is not your persuasion but, talk about hot! Oh well, enough about that and enough about me. Get back in the states so I can make arrangements to come see you guys in Tampa. I might be headed to New Orleans at the end of May, just for the hell of it, and then again in September for "Decadence". I'll tell you all about that later but, hey maybe you'd like to join me there. See ya' soon and be well, love ya'.

Your room will be ready in Tampa though I don't think we can match New Orleans on the entertainment scale.
