My
Cancer Trek
aka
The Tokyo Roast

On 11/10/06, at age 59,  I found that I had       prostate cancer.
As the most common cancer in men, it kills 15% of those who get it.
My case, a most uncommon one, led me to Tokyo.
I hope my story can help others.

I have talked at length to three men this past week who went through either radical protectomy or laproscopic surgery over a year ago and are struggling with erectile dysfunction.  I have good news to report for myself in this area but I but I do it with mixed feelings after hearing their struggles.

I seem to be recovering some functioning.  It is a kind of half erection but this early on I think it is a good sign.  Uchida claims ED problems in about 25% of his HIFU patients.  I take this statistic with a grain of salt, not because of Uchida but because I believe that this is an under-reported problem.
